The
Guerrilla Information Collective's goals are:
The
dissemination of information through any means
necessary.
Fighting
the rampant over-cutting of our forest land.
Dispelling
the intense greenwashed advertising that corporations
use to hide their unsustainable, and ecologically
devastating ways.
The
way we intend to do this are now, and always will
be, without the potential risk of human or animal
injury. No Guerrilla Information Collective
potential action will ever cause loss of human
or animal life.

Please
see the disclaimer....
Please
also note our anti-oppression policy...
"In light of the events on September 11, my
country has told me that I should not cooperate
with terrorists. I therefore am refusing to cooperate
with members of Congress who are some of the most
extreme terrorists in history." -Craig

Thank you for coming to the Guerrilla Information
Collective website. Everything should be self explanatory
so far but if you have any questions or comments
or just want to say hi. Contact me at savetheearthfirst@gmail.com |

Human beings have been around for about
100,000 years. We have gone from a species that lived
in nature to being a species that considers itself seperate
from nature. In the last 150 years alone we have "advanced"
so far we have created technology that chokes our air,
pollutes our water, and poisons our soil.
We have created weapons of such destruction,
that combined, they can annihilate and etinguish life
on the planet 12 times over. Already our world is so polluted
that it doesnt matter what continent you sample from, every
mothers milk contains traces of dioxin. Each day that
passes problems get worse....
WHY DOES THIS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN?
The answer is simple...We let it happen.
We let it happen every day we do nothing.
The former proposal made to L.U.R.C.
by Plum Creek representatives included:
975 residential lots (575 of them waterfront
properties) The residential developement will cover approximately
3,755 acres and be phased in through 10-15 years.
A 3,000 acre area for a nature based tourist
facility in Lily Bay Township
A 500 acre area for a lodge facility on
the souther peninsula of Brassua Lake
A 1,000 acre industrial site suitable
for a large lumber mill or similar facility
3 commercial sites for campground sites,
storage, and/or a small store (up to 600 acres)
80 acres within the proposed "no
developement / working forest area" for up to 4 new
sporting camps and/or remote cabin recreational sites.
This plan cover approx. 426,000 in the
Somerset and Piscataquis Counties, encompassing a majority
of the land area within 29 Townships and Plantations.
The Plan area encompasses approx. 208
miles of shorefront. It includes 69 lakes and ponds, the
largest being Moosehead Lake, Brassua Lake, Long Pond,
and Indian Pond. Of these 51 are undeveloped and 4 have
mild development.
The predominant rivers are The Kennebec,
Moose, and , Roach. The highest mountain peaks are Baker,
Number 4, Elephant, and , Shaw Mountains.
