1- No to NATO!
Facilitated by David Morgan (Veteran Against
Nuclear Arms) and Harold Lavender.
NATO parliamentary leaders are meeting in the
fall 2001 in Victoria, B.C. Discuss building a political
campaign to demand Canada OUT of NATO and NO to NATO.
2- One year later...
Taking action in solidarity with the Chinese refugees
Facilitated by Direct Action Against Refugee Exploitation (DARE)
A workshop intent on presenting the larger framework of global
migration and examine the reception of refugees from Fujian
throughout the First World.
3 - Mexican Election: Turning Point or Same old Story?
Facilitated by Adriana Tagle and Nayieli Suentes
What are the deep social, political and economical problems
of Mexico? Who is Vicente Fox? What are his solutions for
Mexico?
4- Decolonization: Residential School and genocide
Facilitated by Akka Anise
Native activists will attempt to show that the process of
colonization and extermination of aboriginal people by
by the government, the police and military forces still
continues today.
5- Mass Movement For Mass Movements
Facilitated by Denise Nadeau and Allanah Earl Young
A workshop to explore new ways we can bring our body/spirits
to the struggle.

1- Radical Cheerleaders
Facilitated by the Radical Cheerleaders
An interactive workshop, teaching the basics in radical
cheerleading.
2- Queer Pride or Corporate Pride?
Alexander Gagnon, Queers United Against Kapitalism (QUAK),
will discuss how are class division experienced within the
queer community? Can we subvert corporate pride and reclaim
queer pride as an anti-capitalist movement?
3- Male Violence Against Women
Presented by Vancouver Rape Relief and Women^Òs Shelter
How schemes like ^ÓJohn Schools^Ô for men caught buying
women don^Òt work, and in fact make the problem of violence
against prostituted women worse.
4- Pan Colombia: The next Vietnam?
Speakers of Committee of Solidarity with Colombia/FARC-EP,
will discuss the situation of the civil war in Colombia, and the
major increases in direct military intervention of the US in its
so-called ^Ówar-on drugs^Ô.
5- Free Leonard Peltier: There will be no surrender
John Graham, a member of the Leonard Peltier Defense
Committee will focus on raising awareness on Leonard Peltier^Òs
case and to build support at this critical time in the struggle for
his freedom.
6- Stop the Legal Lynching: Free Mumia
Speakers: Vancouver Coalition to Save Mumia
Members of the coalition will show a recent film around the case
and struggle to save Mumia's life, as well as learn about recent
changes in the case and what Vancouverites can do to free Mumia.

1- Defending Immigrant & Refugee Rights in Canada
Speakers: The Campaign to Stop Bill C-31
This workshop will cover the proposed new Immigration and
and Refugee Act, Bill C-31 and how we can stop it.
2- Prisoners' Justice Day: Resistance on the Inside and Out
Speakers: Prisoners' Justice Day Committee
The local PJDC will share information on the history of
August 10th ( Prisoners' Justice Day ) and issues relating to
prison (in)justice in Canada.
3- Gustafson Lake: the NDP, RCMP, CBC and ... the JTF!
Splitting the Sky will present new result of his investigations into
the feds use of the Joint Task Force ( JTF )--the same
deepcover Canadian military forces used in Yugoslavia.
4- The Rise of the Right: The Pro-Choice Movement in BC & Canada
Speakers: Erin Kaiser & Will Offley
Attacks on Choice are on the rise in BC and Canada. This
workshop aims to provide activists with a feminist analysis
of these attacks and bring the discussion to the point where
we can answer the question: Which Way Forward?

Closing Sessions
1- Panel Discussion: Since Seattle, Which Way Forward?
Five panelists, each social activists and involved in organizing
opposition to corporate globalization, will discuss the issues
involved, their experience and their vision of the movements
future. A public debate will be structured to constructively
analyze the political face of Vancouver and the movements^Ò
responsibility in bridging and alliance building.
2- Follow-up Session
For conference participants who want to explore in more
detail issues which emerged from conference.
