After mountains of self-praise Burger King gives a thumbnail sketch of its history ending with whispered references to the London-based Diageo corp. which owns Burger King. Did you know that slave labour exists in this day and age and is kept alive and well by the purchase of a burger from this giant food chain? How is this possible? Read on... Diageo and its offspring Burger King, are owned and operated by Grand Met of the United Kingdom, this company also owns the Pilsbury group as well as Chef & Brewer restaurants, HaagenDaz, Greengiant, Gilbeys, Smirnoff, Pearle (eyecare and glasses) plus a long string of pubs and bars. The chair of Grand Met, Sir Allen Sheppard has a long history of influencing the various British govt. regarding cutting back the social safety net and privatising govt. programs. These programs include seniors care, Childcare and education. Now as if by magic, Sir Allen Sheppard is at the head of the lineup with his companies ready to take over every govt. program from birth to burial that's up for privatising now that his type of governments are in power across the globe. So how does slave labor fit in? Well one of the govt. programs so coveted by Sheppard are the various job club and workfare schemes where people on welfare are put through a so-called re-training and volunteer labor contract, the people put into this program cannot opt out. If they try they lose their welfare. They have to work non-union and less than minimum wage. So who could benefit from this situation? Which company is designated a work experience provider and given a fat cash incentive? What company now owns the job club and workfare franchises along with their captive labor? You got it! Sir Allen Sheppard and his Burger Kings. If you're on welfare, in a union or poor stay away from Burger King.
