sustainable structures of resistance and healthy communities. Mayworks wraps up over 60 political
events in 24 days; come join us and celebrate working class solidarity and grassroots movements!
Featuring:
The Molotov Mouths: a politically direct spoken word troupe based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The
Molotov mouths believe that in today's political climate of reaction and self-censorship it is
important for artists to return to the role of the speakers of uncomfortable truths. They can be
found as a group and as individuals bringing their performances to community groups, low-income
housing, jails and nightclubs. For this event, the Molotov Mouths are:
Ananda Esteva, originally from Chile, uses bi-lingual poetry and song to paint a verbal picture of
real life in Las Americas.
Leroy Moore has toured all over the world as a poet and a disability rights organizer.
James Tracy is a poet active in housing rights and adult education. His most recent book, "Civil
